Lucknow: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lost by 25 runs in the match played against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Since then, their season is under threat and the team is almost out of the race for the playoffs. This season, RCB has made continuous changes in its team but even after this they did not get success and in the same series they made two changes in the match against Hyderabad but despite this they had to face defeat by 25 runs.
In this match against Hyderabad, fast bowler Mohammad Siraj was kept out and star pacer Lockie Ferguson was given a chance in his place. Meanwhile, veteran all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was also shown the door because he was out on zero twice in the last 6 innings. Saurav Chauhan got a place in the final eleven in place of Maxwell. However, former Indian batsman Ambati Rayudu did not like the exclusion of Maxwell. Rayudu reprimanded the RCB team management during a conversation on Star Sports on this matter.

He said, “Today the biggest score in the history of IPL was made against RCB and in such a situation they need a player like Glenn Maxwell. He could have played an important role while chasing this record. Although, he was not given a chance in this match but he should have been a part of the playing eleven of this match against SRH. The main reason for this is that Maxwell was failing miserably in his last 6 matches but despite this he was playing. In such a situation, I think he could have been given another match.”
