Royal Challengers Bengaluru are tenth in the points table in the Indian Premier League 2024. They have won just one out of seven games so far. Former India player Manoj Tiwary doesn’t see them qualifying for the playoffs in the 17th season or even in the future if the tough decisions are not made.

“RCB has no chance to qualify for the playoffs this season, and they won’t in the upcoming seasons either. The only way they can improve is by completely overhauling the squad. They need new players and fresh minds from the ones they have at the moment. They will have to change everything from the coaching staff to the players.

“Nothing is right with RCB. Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, and Mohammed Siraj, signings worth almost INR 40 crore, were sitting on the bench in a game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. This shows what’s wrong with RCB. They are lacking in every department.

“No proper batters barring two or three. The bowling unit is looking miserable. The team is operating without a proper sinner. Will Jacks, who is part-timer, is bowling for them. Their problems start from the auction table and come down to the league,” Manoj Tiwary said.

Shikhar Dhawan’s men tested RCB in the latter’s only win in the ongoing season. Virat Kohli is leading the runs tally and currently holds the Orange Cap. Dinesh Karthik is the second-best batter of the franchise.
