Gujarat Giants women returned to winning ways after losing the opening match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru women in the WPL 2025.

GG defeated UP Warriorz women by 6 wickets while chasing 144 in their second contest of the tournament. Captain Ashleigh Gardner led from the front and scored 52 runs off 32 balls, with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes. She also took two wickets.

Deandra Dottin (33 not out) and Harleen Deol (34 not out) scripted an important partnership to complete the chase emphatically.

Earlier, UPW managed just 143 in 20 overs, with skipper Deepti Sharma amassing 39 runs off 54 balls. Uma Chetry posted 27-ball 24. Priya Mishra was the pick of the bowlers, who claimed three wickets from four overs. Dottin also showed her class in both the departments, dismissing two rival batters.
