Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine has written a new history in the Indian Premier League. The West Indies superstar became the owner of a rare achievement in the tournament by making his own contributions in all areas of the game. Sunil Narine made history by becoming the first player to score a century, take a wicket and take a catch in a single game in the Indian Premier League.

He also took a wicket after completing his maiden century during the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. He managed to take the wicket of Dhruv Juralin in the ninth over while Rajasthan Royals were batting. But the umpire did not give out and the hosts had to take their lbw review.

Narine also managed to take a catch during the powerplay which helped the team. Sanju Samson lofted the ball towards mid-on and Narine caught it. Narine sent the opposing captain back to the pavilion and gave the team hope of victory.

Narine scored his maiden IPL century.

It was the veteran all-rounder’s best innings in the IPL. He managed to score 109 runs off 56 balls at an amazing strike rate of 195. This innings will include 13 fours and six sixes.

The player also built crucial partnerships during the innings. And Sunil helped Kolkata reach a huge score of 223 runs.
