The third semi -finalist of the Champions Trophy 2025 has been decided. Two -time champion Australia has made it to the semi -finals of the tournament. The match played between Australia and Afghanistan in Lahore could not be completed due to rain and was canceled. Due to this, Australia has qualified for the semi -finals, while Afghanistan has reached the verge of being out of the tournament. Now the fourth semi -finalist will decide on Saturday 1 March with the result of the match between South Africa and England, in which the defeat of South Africa can open the fate of Afghanistan.
After reaching the semi -finals of India and New Zealand, everyone's eyes are on Group B, from where the remaining two spots are to be filled. In this, the first team was to be decided with Australia and Afghanistan on Friday 28 February. Afghanistan needed to win in the final-4, while Australia also wanted to win but its work could also be done by distributing points as it already had 3 points. In the end, the decision was taken on this basis, where the two teams got one point each due to the cancellation of the match and reached the semi-finals with 4 points.
