IND vs AUS ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Semifinal: The sport of cricket, is often known for its in-field banters and mind games and thus saw a weird incident of a hilarious situation turned controversial in the ongoing first semifinal between India and Australia in Dubai.
India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja surprised everyone as he was seen testing Steve Smith's temper as he was involved in a hilarious banter with Marnus Labuschagne in the middle of the over as he had hugged him and that made Smith frustrated.
Jadeja's hug leaves Smith frustrated
The incident occurred in Jadeja's brilliant maiden over. He had bowled a good lengthy delivery to Steve Smith, who had smashed the ball directly towards the bowler.
When Jadeja ran towards the ball, he was involved in a collision with Marnus Labuschagne, who was standing at the non-strikers' end. Jadeja was then seen sharing a light-hearted moment with Marnus as he hugged him and thus entertained the Indian fielders and that made Smith angry.

This made the Australian captain as it ruined Labuschagne's rhythm and they also lost a run-scoring chance.
Australia builds innings after amidst tumbles
Speaking of the game, Australia is 198/5 after 36 overs, while batting first during the first semifinal against India. Steve Smith was Australia's highest run-getter.
Marnus Labuschagne scored a gritty knock of 29 runs and then Jadeja dismissed him by lbw.Mohammed Shami and Varun Chakravarthy gave the team the much-needed breakthroughs as they took the wickets of Cooper Conolly and Travis Head. It should be noted here that Ravindra Jadeja too made a significant contribution as he bowled at an economy of 3.83 in the six overs that he bowled and thus dismissed batters like Marnus Labuschagne and Josh Inglis.
Since Smith and Alex Carey were out there in the middle, their main aim was to help the team bounce back by building a gritty partnership and helped the team post a res; respectable target.
