The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the 2023 Civil Services Examination (CSE) results on April 16, 2024. Third-ranked Donuru Ananya Reddy, who comes from Mahabubnagar district in Telangana, was among the top scorers. Videos featuring the exam’s high performers have gone viral online, including a recent clip of Reddy on Platform X, where she cites ace cricketer Virat Kohli as her inspiration.
In a viral video clip, Donuru Ananya Reddy gives an interview in which she praises cricket star Virat Kohli, calling him her favorite player. Reddy says Kohli inspires her with his “never give up” attitude and work ethic, adding that his discipline is a significant takeaway.
Ananya is ranked third after topper Aditya Srivastava and second-ranked Animesh Pradhan.
India follows Virat Kohli’s mentality
Raghuram Rajan, former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, said that many young Indians are leaving the country to start businesses abroad because they are dissatisfied with the business climate in India. He characterized this as a “Virat Kohli mentality,” implying that, like the famous cricketer, young Indian entrepreneurs move fearlessly wherever they can readily access and dominate foreign markets.
Meanwhile, in IPL 2024, Virat Kohli is the current holder of the Orange Cap, with 316 runs in 7 games and an average of 72.20.
