Mumbai Indians started their IPL 2024 with three consecutive defeats against Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. The team bounced back in the next two games against Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. However, their winning streak was broken by the visiting Chennai Super Kings.
Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have been their best performances in the batting and bowling departments. Rohit scored a hundred in the previous game against CSK. On the other hand, Bumrah took 5 wickets in the contest against RCB.
However, the players haven’t played as a unit, according to Harbhajan Singh. He accused the cricketers of giving importance to the individual brilliance but not to the common goal of winning the games.
“Mumbai Indians are not playing as a team and this is visible from their performances . They have won two games because of the individual brilliance. They will have to understand that playing as a group will help them to move forward.
“They should forget about the past. The game against Punjab Kings is another opportunity to come together as a team,” Harbhajan Singh said.
