New Delhi: Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya looked animated after Rohit Sharma launched Harshal Patel for a six over the bowler’s head during their match against Punjab Kings at the PCA Stadium in Mullanpur on Thursday. Playing his 250th game for Mumbai Indians, Rohit also became only the second player after MS Dhoni to achieve such a rare milestone.
The incident took place in the 11th over, bowled by Patel. With just one run coming from the first three balls of the over, Rohit mishit the slower ball from the Punjab Kings pacer. The ball immediately went high up in the air with many thinking it would come down to Sam Curran at long-on but the Englishman could only watch the white cherry sail over the boundary.
Upon seeing this, Pandya, who was sitting in the dugout, patted his thighs hard in joy.
