Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Chennai Super Kings by 50 runs, which was their first win over the arch-rivals at Chepauk in 17 years. Their previous victory came in the inaugural season in 2008. Chasing 197 runs, the hosts were never in the game and kept losing regular wickets. They were restricted to 146/8.
