Lucknow: The madness of former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni was also seen in Lucknow, when the fans were supporting CSK instead of their home team. The match between Chennai and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) was played at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium. In this match, LSG defeated CSK by 8 wickets in a one-sided match but Lucknow captain KL Rahul says that due to Dhoni's arrival on the field, his bowlers came under pressure and that is why they gave some extra runs.
When Mahi came to bat at the Ekana Stadium, the crowd welcomed him enthusiastically and the entire stadium started resonating with slogans of Dhoni Dhoni. After this, the 42-year-old also did not disappoint the fans and he entertained them by playing an unbeaten inning of 28 runs in 9 balls. During this, Mahi hit 3 fours and two huge sixes. However, his innings was not enough for CSK as Rahul scored 82 runs and led his team to victory. After the end of the match, while talking in the post match presentation, KL made a big statement.

He said, “The whole of Lucknow had turned into mini Chennai. When MS Dhoni came on the field to bat, our bowlers were under pressure. They had never seen this environment before because we are a young team. MS can scare anyone with his batting and our bowlers could not maintain the right line and length in front of him. We gave some extra runs because Dhoni was on strike.”
Rahul further said, “I just told my players that they should get used to it and this experience will be useful to them in the coming matches. We will play our next match in Chennai and we do not expect any support from the fans there. “CSK fans support their team at a different level and I am looking forward to playing there in such an environment.”
