If MI scales this total, it would be the highest total chased down at the venue. The current record for the highest successful pursuit is held by MI, which shot down 213 runs against Rajasthan Royals in 2023.

However, the highest total scored in the second innings at the Wankhede Stadium is 223, by Mumbai Indians against Kings XI Punjab in 2017, but it came in a defeat.

On Monday, Virat Kohli led the charge for RCB, scoring a half-century of just 29 deliveries. Rajat Patidar followed up with 52 runs off just 26 deliveries before Jitesh Sharma’s late cameo ensured RCB posted a commanding total.

Despite batters dominating, Jasprit Bumrah impressed on his return to competitive cricket. Though he went wicketless in his four overs, he conceded just 29 runs.
