KL Rahul is renowned for his solid technique, perfect defense, and strokeplay. He has often been accused of playing too many dot balls in white-ball cricket. Even in the Indian Premier League, fans and critics have targeted him for his strike rate.
In IPL 2024, he started slowly but is finally making up. He showed improvement in his strike rate in every match. In the latest match against Chennai Super Kings, he accumulated 82 runs off 53 balls, and his strike rate was above 150.
Former India player Navjot Singh Sidhu called Rahul as the Indian batter with the best technique presently. He ignored the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
“KL Rahul’s only problem has been his strike rate. It is the only blot. However, he is improving in every match and you can check out his scores in IPL 2024. His strike rate has gone up. For me he has the best technique among the present day batters. He is a match-winner,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said.
KL Rahul has been hampered by injuries in the last year and has been out of action for a long time. He missed four Tests against England and returned to cricket for the IPL 2024. He has led LSG to four victories in seven matches.
With a young bowling attack, Rahul has a big task of taking the franchise to the playoffs for the third consecutive time.
