Sachin Tendulkar is called the God of Cricket but Navjot Singh Sidhu has given the same title to another cricketer. Former India opener has heaped massive praise on MS Dhoni, who is dealing in four and sixes in the death overs in the Indian Premier 2024.
According to Sidhu, Dhoni has attained the Godly status in the eyes of fans. The cricket fanatics are going crazy for him and the venues have become his home grounds. Dhoni’s supporters are ready to pay any price for the IPL tickets to watch their favourite cricketer.
“He has become a God of Cricket. Dhoni doesn’t demand respect, he has earned it. He is the greatest captain and doesn’t lose his cool. Put him under any tough situation, he will remain cool.
“He is like ice, who doesn’t react. Look at how Dhonl reacted when he hit a winning six in the World Cup final against Sri Lanka. He took out one stump and didn’t celebrate aggresivly like other cricketers,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Star Sports.
Dhoni is enjoying his cricket to the fullest and is unbeaten in the 17th season of the tournament. He runs are coming at a strike rate of above 200 and the bowlers are losing confidence in front of him.
He is looking relaxed after leaving the captaincy before the start of IPL 2024.
