In an interesting turn of events, Delhi Capitals have added Sediqullah Atal to their squad as a replacement for Harry Brook for the remainder of the IPL 2025 season.

The franchise did not name any replacement after the English star pulled out of the 2025 season due to personal reasons before the start of the season.

However, with playoff qualifications on stake, Delhi have decided to bring in the youngster to strengthen their top order. He will be joining the side for his base price of INR 1.25 crore.

Sediqullah Atal has played only 9 T20Is scoring 96 runs and has 1507 runs in T20s at an average of 34.25 and a strike rate of 131.27.

He has 13 fifties in the format too and can be a valuable addition for Delhi Capitals.

The franchise has been struggling to find a consistent batter at the top of the order this season.

The Afghan batter recently also played in SAw20, impressing with a well defined fifty. Despite a solid start, Delhi Capitals’ performance has gone in a dip in the second half having won only one game out last five encounters.

He will be not available for DC’s next game against Punjab Kings and will be available for the IPL 2025 game against Gujarat Titans on May 11.
