The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is ready to help the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after the suspension of the IPL 2025. The 18th season was stopped midway due to escalating tension between India and Pakistan. ECB is ready to host the remaining games if the Indian Cricket Board decides to shift the tournament. Punjab Kings were hosting the Delhi Capitals at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Stadium when the contest was stopped due to the floodlight failure.

Actually, the government authorities had declared blackout due to missiles and drones attack by Pakistan in the nearby states.

Richard Gould, who is the chief executive of the ECB, confirmed that England are ready to help. “We are ready to support the BCCI,” he said.

The trop brass of the BCCI has decided to announce a new schedule for the remaining games. This decision was taken after a thorough assessment of the situation in consultation with stakeholders and authorities.

The league was conducted in the UAE during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, and the competition was moved to South Africa due to the Indian parliamentary elections. Indian players will be in England for the upcoming five-Test series from June.

South Africa and Australia cricketers will also travel to England for the World Test Championship final.

Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Moeen Ali, and Jacob Bethell were among the ten English players who competed in the recent edition of the league.
