Delhi: The news of the veteran batsman of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli retiring from Test cricket has created a stir among the fans. According to reports, Kohli has apprised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) about its intentions, but the board is trying to convince them to reconsider the decision.

The BCCI wants Kohli to be a part of the team in the five -match Test series against England from June 20. Especially because captain Rohit Sharma has already retired from Test cricket and in such a situation, Kohli’s experience can be very important for Team India.

Former Australia captain Michael Clarke has also expressed his opinion on this issue. Talking to Revspports, he said, “I hope these rumors are not true. I think Virat Kohli still has many runs left in Test cricket. Any team makes any team better than his presence.”

Clarke also described Rohit Sharma’s retirement as a major challenge for India. He said, “He is a player whom any team will miss. His strategic understanding as a captain was excellent and it would be very difficult to replace him.”

Significantly, this tour against England will be a big challenge. In such a situation, it will be very important for the Indian team to prepare a balanced, strong and experience -rich lineup, in which the presence of Virat Kohli is considered very decisive.
