On Mother’s Day, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar took to his official social media account to pen a special note for his mother, Rajni Tendulkar. He expressed his gratitude and love. “Everything I am started with her prayers and her strength. My Aai has always been my anchor, just like every mother is for her child. Wishing all the incredible mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day,” he wrote.
Sachin scored 34,357 runs in international cricket, the most by a batter in cricket history. Over the course of his illustrious career, he redefined the sport with record-breaking performances, many of which still stand unbeaten.
Tendulkar was a standout player in the Test format because of his ability to accumulate runs and exceptional technical skill. The ‘Master Blaster’ holds the record for the most Test appearances with 200 matches to his name.
Tendulkar amassed 15,921 runs, 3,058 fours and 51 hundreds. Known as the “God of Cricket,” the Indian legend became the first to amass 15,000 Test runs in 300 innings, making him the only member of this elite group.
He set a new benchmark for the most runs and centuries in a single calendar year in the fifty-over format, accumulating 1,894 runs and nine centuries in 1998.
During his remarkable ODI career, Tendulkar scored 145 half-centuries and hit 2,016 boundaries.
Tendulkar reached 18,000 ODI runs, in just 440 innings. He is the only player in the elite list.
Tendulkar’s legacy is defined by numerous records, including 76 Player of the Match awards, 34,357 career runs, 264 fifties, 28 nineties, and 4,076 fours across all formats. His 20 centuries against Australia stand as the most against any single team in all formats.
