Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was postponed for a week due to the recent military conflict between India and Pakistan. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had to take this major decision after Pakistan’s drone and missile attacks in the Indian airspace. However, the situation remained stable on Monday and after that there were important discussions about the start of the tournament.

Now the BCCI has decided that the next phase of IPL 2025 will start from May 16. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will resume from the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at its home ground. On the other hand, the Gujarat Titans (GT) team will play their remaining three important matches against Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.

Gujarat Ties have won 8 out of 11 matches played so far and have topped the points table. The team, led by Shubman, is performing brilliantly and is showing its strong intentions before the tournament re -onset. According to the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA), the team conducted a practice session of more than three hours on Sunday, May 11, which started at 5:30 pm and lasted till 9 pm.

Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada also participated in training, who could not play due to suspension in many matches of this season. Apart from him, Sherfen Rutherford, Mohammad Siraj and captain Shubman Gill also sweated fiercely in the nets.

The decision to adjourn the IPL was taken when the match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was going on. The BCCI has not yet made any formal announcement about what will be the result of this match. If sources are to be believed, this match will not be played again and both teams can be given one point each. However, the final decision on this will be taken only after the release of the revised program of BCCI.

With the commencement of the IPL, the thrill will once again return and everyone’s eyes will be on which teams make a place in the playoffs and which will pick up the trophy of IPL 2025.
