The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially confirmed that IPL 2025 will resume from May 17following a one-week suspension due to the India-Pakistan conflict. The tournament will return with 17 matches to be hosted across six comingculminating in the grand finale on June 3.

Originally scheduled to conclude on May 25, the IPL season was put on hold on May 9 in the wake of escalating cross-border tensions. However, with a ceasefire understanding in place, the BCCI has swiftly revised the fixtures and playoff dates.

As per the updated schedule, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face Kolkata Knight Riders in Bengaluru on May 17 to kickstart the remaining leg. The six venues selected for hosting the matches include Bengaluru, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai. The lineup features two double headerswith May 18 and May 25 featuring afternoon and evening clashes.

IPL 2025 Playoffs schedule:

  • Eliminator: May 30 (Venue TBC)

  • Qualifier 2: June 1 (Venue TBC)

Among the key fixtures, CSK vs RR in Delhi on May 20 and LSG vs RCB in Lucknow on May 27 are expected to be high-stakes clashes as teams battle for a playoff berth in the final stretch.
