Pat Cummins is set to rejoin Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of the IPL’s resumption on May 17, Sportstar has learnt. However, the exact date of his arrival is yet to be known.
The Australian quick had returned home along with several overseas players after the tournament was paused on May 9 due to cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.
With a ceasefire declared, the SRH skipper has opted to see out the remainder of the campaign, despite his team being out of playoff contention. The decision comes amid questions over the participation of key Australian players, especially with the World Test Championship final looming. Cummins will lead Australia in the title clash against South Africa at Lord’s, starting June 11.
