IPL 2025 was stopped for a few days due to increased tension on the border between India and Pakistan. Now the tournament will start again from 17 May. Gujarat Titans have chosen Kusal Mendis as a replacement in place of Jose Butler. Butler will join the national team after playing the last match of the league stage against Chennai on 25 May. In such a situation, Mendis will join GT from 26 May. He has been signed for Rs 75 lakh. Lucknow Super Gynts have included William O’Rurke into the team after Mayank Yadav was out of the back injury. The New Zealand fast bowler has been purchased at a base price of Rs 3 crore. BCCI has given relief to franchises by changing the rules. Now it has to be seen how effective these new players prove to the teams.
