The Bangladesh tour of Pakistan is likely to be rescheduled due to recent India-Pakistan border tensions.

The conflict and PSL 2025 have complicated scheduling, with official dates yet to be announced. A senior official from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that BCB and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are currently working together to revise the itinerary.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, has revealed that PSL 2025 will resume on May 17 with the finals to be played on May 25, following a week’s suspension due to border tensions with India.

“As we speak, both the boards are in talks to reschedule the dates for the tour,” the source said. “What has happened between India and Pakistan has impacted this series, and that’s why both boards are now looking to finalise new dates. An official announcement will be made soon.”

Bangladesh was initially scheduled to play a five match T20I series against Pakistan from May 25 to June 03.

However, complications have emerged following changes to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) schedule.

The final which was initially planned to conclude before the Bangladesh series, has now been rescheduled for May 25 the same say the first T20I between Bangladesh and Pakistan was set to take place.

Despite the uncertainity surrounding the Pakistan tour, Bangladesh’s two-match T20I series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) remains unaffected.

The Tigers are scheduled to face UAE on May 17 and 19 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. As per the original plan, the team was to travel to Lahore on May 21, ahead of the first T20I in Pakistan.

Bangladesh Board is expected to make an official statement once revised dates are finalized in coordination with the PCB. Until then, Bangladesh will be focussing on their short UAE as they gear up for a potentially reschuffled schedule in Pakistan.
