The Bangladesh national cricket team’s upcoming tour of Pakistan is expected to be rescheduled due to tension between India and Pakistan. A high-ranking official from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed to India Today that the BCB and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are working together to make adjustments to the tour schedule.

“As of now, both boards are in discussions to adjust the tour dates. The recent developments between India and Pakistan have affected this series, which is why both boards are working to finalise new dates.

An official announcement will be made soon,” the source stated.

Bangladesh were scheduled to play a five-match T20I series against Pakistan from May 25 to June 3. The Pakistan Super League (PSL) final has been rescheduled to May 25, which is another reason behind the proposed change.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s T20I series against the UAE on May 17 and 19 remains unaffected. The visiting squad was originally scheduled to travel to Lahore on May 21.

The revised dates will be announced after a discussion between the two boards.
