Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) young batsman Ayush Mhatre has caught everyone’s attention with his brilliant performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The confidence with which he has batted at just 17 years old is capable. Recently, he got a moment that every cricketer wants to live in his career, meeting the God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar.

Ayush Mhatre shared a picture with Sachin Tendulkar on social media, in which he looked quite emotional and proud. He told that this was a very special and unforgettable moment of his life. Sachin also gave an autograph on a bat for him.

Banging start in IPL
Ayush made his IPL debut against Mumbai Indians (Mi) at Wankhede Stadium. As soon as he came, he cleared his intentions and hit the second ball and hit two sixes. He helped Chennai out of the initial shaking by scoring 32 runs in 15 balls.
Great innings played against RCB
Ayush Mhatre’s most popular innings was seen against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, he hit 94 runs in just 48 balls. In this innings, he hit 9 fours and 5 sixes. However, even his explosive innings could not win the team.

Ayush Mhatre has scored 163 runs in 5 innings so far. His average is 32.60 and the strike rate is 181.11, which is fantastic for a young batsman. Apart from this, he has played 9 First Class and 7 List A matches for Mumbai, in which he has a total of 962 runs.
Next challenge against Rajasthan Royals
Chennai Super Kings will now face Rajasthan Royals on 20 May, where the team will expect another great performance from Ayush Mhatre. The manner in which he is playing, it seems that he can soon become a permanent star of the team.
