Sarfaraz Khan, the Indian batter, is working hard for the forthcoming England tour. He has successfully lost 10 kg of weight by adhering to a strict diet regimen. Despite making his Test cricket debut against England in 2024, Sarfaraz has yet to play a Test match outside India. The 27-year-old was recently included in the India A squad for the two unofficial Tests against the England Lions.
The Mumbai-born batter is eating boiled vegetables and poultry, according to sources from India Today. He is also working on his game and is improving his batting on balls that are pitched wide of the off stump.
Sarfaraz’s last appearance was in the third Test against New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He was not considered for the five Test matches during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia. In six Test matches so far, Sarfaraz has scored 371 runs, averaging 37.10. This includes one century and three half-centuries.
His solitary century was achieved in Bengaluru against New Zealand, where he scored an exceptional 150. He also scored a magnificent 222* off 286 balls for Mumbai in the Irani Cup.
Sarfaraz is eager to make his mark in England. He is working assiduously under the supervision of his father, Naushad Khan.
