Lucknow Super Gianst (LSG) fast bowler Willaim O' Rourke has revealed that the team is just focusing to win the last three matches and somehow get a chance to make it to the playoffs.

LSG are set to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday, May 18 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The Rishabh Pant-led side are in a must-win situation as they desperately need to win all of their last three fixtures by a good margin to stay alive in the playoffs race. Ahead of the fixture, William O' Rourke, for Rs 3 crore, spoke about his team's playoff chances .

"Obviously, there's only so much that's in our control, but what we can do is focus on winning the next three games.

We need to take responsibility for that, put in strong performances, and if we manage to sneak into the semifinals, that would be a great result," said O'Rourke in the pre-match press conference.

Lucknow are on the seventh spot on the points table with five wins from 11 matches having ten points to their name. They have their last three matches against SRH, Gujarat Titans (GT) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Moreover, their poor net run rate of -0.469 has further made their road to the playoffs tougher as all the other teams have a positive net run rate.

The Rishabh Pant-led side will have to play out of their skin in the last three fixtures and also hope for certain results to go in their favour. Meanwhile, O' Rourke also spoke about bowling on Indian pitches against some of the best players in the world.

"Yeah, it's obviously very different from back home. I think we tend to get greener, bouncier wickets there. I've played here a few times, including a couple of Test matches, which were definitely challenging-especially as a bowler. But at the same time, it's exciting to experience different conditions and test my game against some of the best in the world," he added.
