Delhi: Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson looked very happy after a six -wicket victory at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Rajasthan achieved the target of 188 runs in just 17.1 overs, in which young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a brilliant innings of 57 runs in 33 balls.

Captain Sanju Samson also scored 41 runs in 31 balls and shared 98 runs in 59 balls with Suryavanshi. After the victory, Samson said that he was thinking to bat first, as the team’s record was bad while chasing, but he decided to face fear and eventually managed to defeat CSK.

Sanju Samson said in the post-match presentation, “It looks good. To be honest, we were thinking that we should bat first and set the score. But, I decided that there is no hide in this match. The thinking of the teams has changed. There is not much difference in the quality of the teams.”

He further said, “The difference between victory and defeat is very less. We have to sit and review well. Surely we could do better. It is not a matter of luck, we have made some mistakes. We have to come with a better mindset in the next season.”

Significantly, CSK score was 170/6 in 17 overs and Shivam Dubey and MS Dhoni were present at the crease. It seemed that the score would cross 200, but in the last three overs, Akash Madhwal (3/29) and Tushar Deshpande (1/33) overturned the game for only 17 runs. Akash Madwal was adjudged Player of the Match for his superb bowling.
