Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become the talk of the town after his blistering performances for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2025. He was unstoppable for RR in their campaign, amassing over 250 runs at a strike rate of 200-plus. The 14-year-old scored a century and fifty against the Gujarat Titans and the Chennai Super Kings, respectively.

While he didn’t spare any Gujarat bowler in his big knock, Vaibhav showed maturity against the Men in Yellow. The rival franchises didn’t get a chance to do their homework for Vaibhav in the ongoing edition, but he will be tested next year.

Meanwhile, he hit shots to every part of the ground and went big against Ravindra Jadeja and Noor Ahmad. Anant Tyagi, who is one of the commentators, asked former India pacer RP Singh about the weakness of the young cricketer.

RP, who represented the national team across formats, highlighted the two key areas that can trouble Vaibhav. “Swinging deliveries and bouncers are likely to put him on the back foot. He will find it challenging to score runs on wickets that will offer swing and seam.

“I was surprised that Chennai bowlers didn’t bowl bouncers in front of him. There are some deliveries from which a batter should stay away but I don’t think it is going to happen in Vaibhav’s case,” RP Singh said on Star Sports.

Rajasthan beat Chennai by 6 wickets

Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets to end their season with four wins. Sanju Samson won the toss and invited CSK to bat first. Ayush Mhatre (43), Dewald Brevis (42), and Shivam Dube (39) scored runs for the Super Kings.

Yudhvir Singh and Akash Madhwal took three wickets each. Chasing 188, Yashasvi Jaiswal (36), Vaibhav (57), Sanju Samson (41), and Dhruv Jurel (31*) led the batting charts for the Royals. R Ashwin dismissed two batters.
