25 lakhs cheated and stolen from Indian women cricketer Deepti Sharma, FIR lodged against fellow player

Delhi: A case of alleged cheating and theft of Rs 25 lakh has come to light with the star all -rounder of the Indian women’s cricket team and deputy SP Deepti Sharma in Uttar Pradesh Police. His close friend and fellow cricketer Aarushi Goyal has been described as the main accused in this case. According to the FIR lodged at Sadar police station in Agra by Deepti’s brother Sumit Sharma, Aarushi and her family refused to return Rs 25 lakh borrowed from Deepti and also misbehaved on demand.

In the FIR, Deepti has also been accused of theft of cash, foreign currency and precious jewelery from the flat in Agra. On 22 April, this stolen was done by Aarushi Goyal allegedly entering the flat without permission. Stolen goods include gold-silver jewelery, US $ 2,500 and other valuable items.

Sukanya Sharma, Assistant Police Commissioner of Agra Sadar, confirmed that in the preliminary investigation of the complaint received, factual evidence was found, on the basis of which an FIR has been registered. The case has been registered under sections 305 (a) (theft), 331 (3) (illegal entry), 316 (2) (criminal betrayal) and 352 (insulting with the intention of breach of peace) of the Code of Justice of India (BNS).

27 -year -old cricketer Aarushi Goyal has been a part of the women’s Premier League’s UP Warrise team, while Deepti Sharma is the captain of the same team. Friendship between the two developed during his cricket career. Currently Aarushi is working as Lower Division Clerk in Indian Railways and is posted at Agra Cantt railway station. He has also represented India A team in the past.

On the other hand, Deepti Sharma is a prominent player of the Indian women’s cricket team and has represented India in 5 Tests, 106 ODIs and 124 T20I matches. The investigation of the case is going on and the police is collecting evidence to confirm the allegations.
