Royal Challengers Bengaluru have received a big boost ahead of their IPL 2025 playoffs, as Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood is expected to make his return after recovering from a shoulder injury. Hazlewood has been recovering in Brisbane since the suspension of the IPL. However, the 34-year-old is now reported to have regained full fitness and is targeting a comeback just in time for playoff matches.
Cricket Australia and RCB came up with a joint rehabilitation programme for the pacer.
As reported by ESPN Cricinfo, Hazlewood is expected to rejoin RCB. The 18th season was temporarily halted due to tension between India and Pakistan.
Hazlewood has been exceptional this season, taking 18 wickets at an average of 17.27. He has been a top performer for the three-time finalists.
The World Test Championship Final had put Hazelwood’s participation in doubt but the speedster has decided to return to India for the important matches.
RCB have brought in Tim Seifert and Blessing Muzarabani to replace Jacob Bethell and Lungi Ngidi, who will be joining their national teams.
