Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday was poised to secure a big win against Kolkata Knight Riders in their Indian Premier League 2025 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Mumbai Indians holds the record for the biggest win margin (in terms of runs), beating Delhi Capitals by 146 runs in 2017. Sunrisers had the chance to overahaul the feat but squandered the opportunity.
Led by Heinrich Klaasen’s century, Sunrisers posted 278 runs in 20 overs, the third-highest team total in IPL history.
In respone, KKR had lost five wickets for just 70 runs by the end of the eighth over. However, Harshit Rana and Manish Pandey added 52 runs for the eighth wicket to offer some semblance of a fight.
KKR was eventually bundled out for 168, losing its final league game by 110 runs.
