Noor Ahmad continued to top the Purple Cap standings after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Gujarat Titans pacer Prasidh Krishna was second, with 23 scalps in 14 games. Trent Boult, Josh Hazlewood and Arshdeep Singh complete the top-five list of the leading wicket-takers this season after the end of the league stage.
While Hazlewood had a realistic opportunity to go past Boult in the standings, he missed the match on Tuesday and couldn’t increase his tally.
However, with RCB making the Playoffs, he will have a chance to claim the Purple Cap, provided he is fit to play.
