Patidar revealed that a call on Tim David’s availability would be take by the medical panel later in the day. “Doctors will let us know this evening,” he said.

The conversation then shifted towards Virat Kohli, who has been associated with RCB for 18 years. “We will try to win the IPL trophy for Virat Kohli. He has done a lot for India and RCB,” Rajat Patidar said.

The final against PBKS will provide RCB their fourth opportunity to end the title drought, having fallen short in 2009, 2011 and 2016. In Qualifier 1, Bengaluru dismissed Punjab for 101 runs in the 15th over and completed the chase in 10 overs.
