Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for 1 run by RCB all-rounder Romario Shepherd in the final of the Indian Premier League 2025. Iyer, who has scored more than 600 runs in the tournament, got an edge, and wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma completed the remaining work. Shepherd, who had earlier dropped Prabhsimran Singh’s catch, took the most important scalp of the match. Iyer single-handedly took PBKS to the final after scripting Mumbai Indians’ downfall in Qualifier 2.

The right-handed batter scored an unbeaten 87 runs, but he couldn’t do anything during the summit clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

The RCB fielders went wild and celebrated aggressively as Iyer headed back to the dugout. Priyansh Arya (24) and Prabhsimran (26) threw away their wickets after good starts.
