Lucknow: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has created a big feat by creating history. He has become the first captain to score a century for Chennai in IPL. Actually, the 39th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is being played between CSK and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Chepauk. In this match, Lucknow won the toss and decided to bowl first. After this, while batting first, the Chennai batsmen were badly beaten by the LSG bowlers and in this sequence, Gaikwad played a century.

In this match, Gaikwad faced 60 balls and played an unbeaten inning of 108 runs with the help of 12 fours and 3 sixes. With this, he has created history for CSK and has become the first captain to score a century while playing for Chennai. Before him, this record was recorded in the name of former captain MS Dhoni, who had played an inning of 84 runs, but now this record has been recorded in the name of Rituraj.

Apart from him, now the right-handed batsman has reached the second position, who has scored 349 runs in 8 matches. On the other hand, this is his second century in his IPL career.
