Rinku Singh, Priya Saroj Shake a Leg on Gallan Gallan GODIYAN

Team India batter Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj got engaged on May 8 in a grand ceremony attended by heavyweight politicians.

Former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and his wife, MP Dimple Yadav graced the occasion. Jaya Bachchan, Ramgopal Yadav, Rajeev Shukla, and Shivpal made their presence felt. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who recently represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League 2025, gave his blessings to Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj. Priya was seen dancing to Bollywood song ‘Gallan Goodiyan’. Rinku hesitated before joining his partner.

Rinku played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 18th season of the cash-rich league.

Tufani Saroj, who is Priya’s father revealed that the celebrations started on Saturday night.

Priya Saroj won the Machhlishahr seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.

Priya Saroj has been a part of the SP for several years. She came to limelight while campaigning for her father during the Assembly Elections in 2022. She completed her graduation from Delhi University and also holds a lew degree from Amity University in Noida.

Rinku, who hails from Aligarh, became famous when he hit five consecutive sixes in the KKR vs GT match in 2023. His attacking batting in Yash Dayal’s over sealed the contest in favour of the Kolkata Knight Riders.

He has played two One Day Internationals and 33 Twenty20 Internationals for the Men in Blue.
