During the pre-match presser, when a journalist inquired Cummins of his side sledging the Protean pacer over his drug ban, Cummins was quick to put it down and responded stating, "It's not really our style. I'd be surprised if that came up." It is to be noted that Rabada served a recreational ban after his tests returned positive for a drug usage from the SA20 2025.
While his ban was only for a month, he left his Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 franchise, Gujarat Titans (GT) midway through the tournament and then returned before the Shubman Gill-led side took on Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium last month.
