With veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma retiring from Test and T20I cricket, fans are eagerly awaiting their return in the ODI format. In a welcome development, details of India’s upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand have been revealed.

According to a PTI report, India will host New Zealand for a white-ball series in January 2026, comprising 3 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 5 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). The series will begin on January 11 in Hyderabad and conclude on January 31 in Trivandrum.

There’s a strong possibility that fans will see Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in action during the ODI leg of the tour.

Prior to this, India may also face Bangladesh and Australia in ODIs, though the BCCI is yet to finalize those fixtures.

At present, Team India is in England for a five-match Test series, their first without Rohit and Kohli. The opening Test will be played at Headingley, Leeds, starting June 20.

1st ODI: January 11 – Hyderabad

2nd ODI: January 14 – Rajkot

3rd ODI: January 18 – Indore

1st T20I: January 21 – Nagpur

2nd T20I: January 23 – Ranchi

4th T20I: January 28 – Visakhapatnam

5th T20I: January 31 – Trivandrum

Team India will host New Zealand for a white-ball series in January 2026, featuring three ODIs and five T20Is. The T20I leg, to be led by Suryakumar Yadav, will serve as India’s final preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February–March 2026.

The ODI series will kick off on January 11 in Baroda, followed by matches in Rajkot (January 14) and Indore (January 18).

The T20I series begins on January 21 in Nagpur, with the second match in Raipur (January 23). The third T20I will be played in Guwahati on January 25, followed by the final two matches in Visakhapatnam (January 28) and Trivandrum (January 31).
