Mumbai, 18 June (Read). Indian Super League (ISL) Club Mumbai City FC has announced the return of Argentina star striker George Perera Diaz for 2025–26 season. Diaz is re -joining his old club after spending a season Bangalore FC, where he first made a special place in the hearts of the fans by performing brilliantly.

In his first term, Diaz scored 27 goals and 10 in a total of 53 matches for Mumbai City. He played an important role in winning the club in the league shield in 2022–23 and the ISL Cup in 2023–24. His return will not only strengthen the attack of Mumbai’s attacking line, but will also bring new energy of experience and confidence in the team.

George Perera Diaz said on a comeback that “coming back to Mumbai City is very special for me. The people, fans and clubs always made me feel like home. I am fully ready to wear this jersey again and give my best.”

Mumbai City FC Director of Football Sujy Sharma said, “It is a matter of pride for us to bring back Diaz. He is not only a great goal scorer, but also team spirit, energy and experience. He understands the culture of the club and will play an important role for our upcoming season.”
