Taking to X, Sachin captioned the post, 'Congratulations Bumrah! A no-ball and 3 missed chances stood between you and nau wickets." It is to be noted that had Yashasvi Jaiswal not dropped Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope and had that had not been a no-ball, Bumrah could have picked up nine wickets.

Furthermore, with another five-wicket-haul, Bumrah reached his tenth in the SENA countries, becoming the first-ever India to touch this figure. This was also 12th five-wicket haul for Bumrah in away Tests, equalling that of former Indian skipper Kapil Dev.
