Legendary Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has responded to India’s two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra, who recently mentioned that the cricketer could become a good javelin thrower. In his conversation with JioHotstar, the champion athlete spoke about Lee.

“I have heared that Brett Lee was a javelin thrower. I think he could throw the javelin well when he was at the peak of his career,” Chopra said.

In reply, Brett Lee said he had thrown the javelin during his schooling days and had never been as good as the Indian superstar.

“I did throw the javelin back in my schooling days, but nowhere near what Neeraj does & continues to do,” he wrote.

Brett Lee also heaped massive praise on Neeraj Chopra and revealed why he didn’t continue with the sport.

“Very tough on the elbow. I have, however, admired what this fine athlete can do and wish him well.”

Neeraj wants to try javelin alongside Jasprit Bumrah. “I would like to try to javelin with Jasprit Bumrah too and hope he teaches me something about fast bowling. While the two sports are different, I would like to learn from one of the best fast bowlers.”

Neeraj is also interested in baseball pitching, and he would like to try it at some point.
