Delhi: The white-ball series between India and Bangladesh in August 2025 has been postponed for one year. Now this series will be played in September 2026. In this tour, India had to play three ODIs and three T20 Internationals against Bangladesh.

Now India will visit Bangladesh in 2026

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have approved this decision with mutual consent. The decision was taken after a conversation between the two boards, in which the international programs and scheduling convenience of both teams were taken into consideration.

BCCI today issued an official media advisory on 5 July and gave this information. The advisory told that it was necessary to pursue this series due to harmony in scheduling. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has said that it is excited to host India in September 2026 and this series will be very special for the audience.

At present, new dates and places of the series have not been announced. The new schedule will be made public when time comes.

This series is very important for both teams, because the previous matches between India and Bangladesh have always been exciting. Now fans will have to wait a little longer for this series.

Political relationship is the reason for deteriorating

According to sources, the decline in political relations between India and Bangladesh is being given the main reason for this decision. In view of the current atmosphere between the two countries, the Indian government is not in favor of sending the team to Bangladesh.
