The ECB has announced a 15-member England squad for the three-match ODI series against India, where Sophie Ecclestone and Maia Bouchier have been included.

Maia Bouchier will be adding depth and flexibility to England’s top and middle order. With competition for batting spots heating up, Bouchier’s form and versatility will be closely watched in this crucial series.

Meanwhile, seamer Lauren Filer, who played her last ODI during the Ashes series earlier this year, is included as she continues her recovery from a knee injury.

Nat Sciver-Brunt will be returning for the ODI series in the India Women’s tour of England 2025 after missing out couple of matches in the T20I series due to a groin injury.

“Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is expected to play a full part in the series despite missing the end of the IT20 series with a groin injury,” said the team management.

Eccelstone returns to the ODI setup after missing the previous series against West Indies and her inclusion has left sarah Glenn out of the squad.

Kate Cross and Lauren Bell will offer seamers while Charlie Dean and Linsey Smith will support spin duties with Ecclestone.

Meanwhile Alice Capsey and Sophia Dunkley will be providing explosive batting options and part-time bowling utility.

England head coach Charlotte Edwards said, “India have really pushed us during the IT20 series. We knew they would and we’ve learned a lot about the team in the three games so far.”

“There have been some good moments but we’re a team in transition and we need to keep working hard to do what we’re trying to do more consistently, and for longer. That’ll be asked of us again in the ODIs,” she added.

The ODI series will be played on July 16, 19 and 22 with the first match played at The Ageas Bowl.
