Karun Nair Flopped in Lord’s Test: The Anderson Tendulkar Trophy is not ending the batting problem for India at number three in 2025. On the other hand, Karun Nair is not able to return. The third Test match between India and England is being played at Lord’s Cricket Ground from 10 July. Karun proved to be a flop once again in India’s first innings in this Test match.
Karun Nair has returned to the Indian Test team after more than 7 years. But things have not yet been done according to the plan. Karun started well in the first innings of the Lord’s Test, but could not convert it into a big score and was dismissed for just 40 runs.
Ben Stokes dismissed Karun Nair in the 20.2nd over. The ball came towards the off stump and Karun missed him trying to play. The ball went towards the slip from the edge of the bat. Joe Root was standing there and he caught fantastic catch flying in the air. Karun Nair stood there for a while when the third umpire was checking the catch to see if the ball touched the ground or not. But it was clearly visible in the replay that the root fingers were under the ball. Joe Root broke Rahul Dravid’s record as soon as Karun Nair was caught.
Joe Root has left behind Rahul Dravid as a fielder. Actually, the record of taking the most outfield catch in Test cricket was earlier in the name of Rahul Dravid, which has now become the name of Joe Root.
