स्टुअर्ट ब्रॉड ने गेंद को लेकर चल रहे विवाद पर कहा, "क्रिकेट बॉल ऐसी होनी चाहिए जैसे एक अच्छा विकेटकीपर—जिसका ज्यादा ध्यान ही न जाए। लेकिन अब तो हम हर मैच में गेंद की बात कर रहे हैं, क्योंकि ये इतनी बड़ी समस्या बन गई है। हर इनिंग में गेंद बदलनी पड़ रही है, ये सही नहीं है। ऐसा लग रहा है जैसे पिछले 5 साल से यही चल रहा है। ड्यूक्स कंपनी को अपनी गेंदों की क्वालिटी सुधारनी होगी। एक गेंद को 80 ओवर तक चलना चाहिए, न कि सिर्फ 10 ओवर।”

जसप्रीत बुमराह ने लिया पांच विकेट

जसप्रीत बुमराह ने भारत बनाम इंग्लैंड लॉर्ड्स टेस्ट में शानदार गेंदबाजी की। उन्होंने इंग्लैंड की पहली पारी में पांच विकेट लिए। इसमें हैरी ब्रूक, बेन स्टोक्स, जो रूट, क्रिस वोक्स और जोफ्रा आर्चर के विकेट शामिल हैं। इस पारी में बुमराह ने 27 ओवर में 2.70 की इकॉनमी से 74 रन देकर पांच विकेट लिए। उन्होंने 5 मेडन ओवर भी फेंके।
