Former England all-rounder Moeen Ali feels that he wants to see Kuldeep Yadav in the playing 11 for the fourth match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

He also praised Jadeja for his batting display in the 3rd test played at Lord’s. The all-rounder went on to slam back-to-back fifties and showed resilience on chasing 193 runs in the second innings.

Moeen Ali said that Jadeja excelled with the bat but also pointed out he did not pick wickets as expected. He did bowl well, but it was not enough.

“He can bowl, but he’s not outstanding… I think now he’s at the peak of his batting. Bowling-wise, he just doesn’t have the wickets. He’s bowled well, but the wickets haven’t come,” told Moeen Ali.

Meanwhile, Moeen Ali wants to see Kuldeep Yadav in the Playing 11, but with Jadeja‘s batting form and Washington Sundar’s knack for taking wickets, Moeen feels Kuldeep may not find a spot in the team.

“I would like to see Kuldeep in the team, but I don’t know who for. Washington bowled well, and Jadeja batted well. So it makes it difficult to bring Kuldeep Yadav in the side. I would like to see Kuldeep in, but I don’t think they can fit him in,” Moeen concluded.

India have a quality, attacking option in Kuldeep Yadav  who has been consigned to the benches so far across the three tests. Moeen backs Kuldeep’s inclusion in the playing 11 but admits at the moment, fitting him in seems a difficult prospect.

Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh sustained a injury in his bowling hand during the net session and with Bumrah’s uncertainity, it will be tough for India to play right combinations at Manchester.

England currently leads the five match test series 2-1 after a thrilling 22-run victory at Lord’s. India will be aiming for a win in the fourth test to level the test in the series.

The fourth test of the series will be played between July 23 and 27 at Old Trafford Cricket StadiumManchester.
