Nick Knight’s 21st Century Test XiNick Knight, former England cricketer and currently commentator, has recently selected his 21st century Joint India-England Test playing XI. However, in this team he did not include Indian superstar Virat Kohli and fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah, who has become a topic of discussion since his selection.
Nick Knight gave it to the top players of England and India in their team, but Virat Kohli and Jaspreet Bumrah did not choose in the team. In this team of Knight, former England opener Alastair Cook and India’s Virender Sehwag were selected as the opening pair. At number three, England’s Michael Vaughan was placed, while a brilliant player like Rahul Dravid was not given a place in this position. India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar was included at number four, causing Kohli to not get a place in the team.
In the middle order below, Kevin Peterson and Graham Thorp were placed, while MS Dhoni was placed at number seven as wicketkeeper. In the bowling department, Knight chose Zaheer Khan, Stuart Broad, and James Anderson as their fast bowling trio. Graeme Swan was kept as the only spinner in the spin department.
Both Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah are the current cricket superstars, but Nick Knight did not give them a place in their team. Kohli may be due to being out of the selection, perhaps Sachin Tendulkar may be in the team, as the game style of both is somewhat similar. There is a possibility of Bumrah that he preferred other bowlers in his team like Zaheer Khan, Broad and Anderson.
