As per Sidhu, India needs to take five wicket-taking specialists.

Delhi: We are less than a week away from the announcement of India’s T20 World Cup squad and the race has heated up like never before. While most of squad would be on predicted lines, there are a few spots still up for grabs. Amid all this, former India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu has passed on an advice to coach Rahul Dravid. As per Sidhu, India needs to take five wicket-taking specialists.

“My straight advice to Rahul Dravid is that if you want to win this tournament, have five wicket-taking specialist bowlers, simple,” said Sidhu, answering a fan’s question on the #AskStar segment on Star Sports.

Sidhu advised Dravid against making any compromises.

“The collapse of a team’s character stems from the compromise point,” said Sidhu and went on to name the bowlers of his choice, which had some surprise names.

Sidhu also went on to suggest the spinners that should be there in the squad. He picked Ravi Bishnoi to partner Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.

He also went onto name Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Mohsin Khan and Mayank Yadav “if he is fit” as India’s options in the pace department.
