SA20 2026 Retained Players: The fourth season of the SA20 is set to begin on December 26, with the finals to be played on January 25, 2026.

As per the SA20 2026 schedule, the first match will be played between MI Cape Town and Durban’s Super Giants at Newlands, Cape Town.

The SA20 2026 season is set to have an auction ahead of the start of the tournament on September 09 in Johannesburg. All six teams have announced the pre-signed and retained players for season 04.

SA20 2026 Retained Players

Each of the teams was permitted to retain 6 members, comprising of 3 South African players and 3 overseas players during the retention Window, which was closed on July 18.

The teams also completed their wild card signings and will be aiming to fill the remaining slots within their purse value. A collective total of USD 7.4 million to be spent on 84 slots at the auction on September 09.

Several international players like Faf du Plessis, Trent Boult, Rashid Khan, Nicholas Pooran, Will Jacks, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Jos Buttler and Noor Ahmad.

All six franchises have released their preliminary squad lists.
